The educationists of Malaysia are stressing on the fact that there is an urgent need of forging a massive level of racial integration amongst the children in school. Nevertheless, the educationists do not feel that the best way is by sharing the compounds of the schools as well as facilities.

The educationists feel that parents from different racial backgrounds should simply opt to send their children to national schools. Because this will make the governments schools the priority for the Malaysians once again.

Datin Noor Azimah Abdul Rahim, the education chairman for the Parent Action Group, said that there had been many approaches for promoting unity around the country. But the best way to do it is by ensuring better quality education in the national schools as this is the only thing which will make the school the first choice for the parents. The government has to make the national schools around the country inordinate again. The government can achieve this by simply returning the identity of the Malaysian as well as the national spirit of the country people.

The management of the schools must be stricter than they previously were. The teachers will also have to ensure that the subjects in the schools are taught perfectly. It is imperative to bring a relevant and structured professional development program for each teacher, the way the private educational sector does it.

Datin Noor said that the sharing of the compounds and facilities is only workable for the schools that are newly introduced. These factors have to be mirrored in the construction plan. The Prime Minister of Malaysia, Mahathir Mohamad revealed that most of the people residing in the country are completely against the idea of a singular education system. And now the government wants to introduce numerous stream systems in education to make sure that the students get ideally educated.
