SADTU also known as the South African Democratic Teachers Union has reportedly called the parents of school students. Moreover, SADTU addressed the communities that have been affected by severe violence, widespread reaching up of drugs and substance abuse in schools. SADTU believes that by making a summit come together, the scenario across South Africa will be a little different.

Mugwena Maluleke, the general secretary of Sadtu, has reportedly made a call after a student from high school was arrested. The arrest was made on the evening of Monday in Dobsonville, Soweto, Significant hours after the student pierced instruments of death in the body of three classmates. One of the students was left for dead outside Turffontein’s Forest High School located in Johannesburg.

The General Secretary, Maluleke also conveyed their deepest condolences to the school, family as well as the community. Mulaleke said that they are severely astounded by the incident when they engaged with the Department of Basic Education as well as South African Council. They would furthermore deal with the violent nature of the students at schools. Mulaleke also said that they stand completely solidarity with the pupils as well as the teachers at the school.

According to Maluleke, the DBE should engage in professionalism based on psycho-social nature for identifying this behavior before the chaos begins. The goal is to assist students who have psychological problems. The Basic Education Department must collaborate with SAPS to enforce search of the weapons which are brought into the schools. Life Orientation will play a crucial role to keep the destructive behaviors of the students.

SADTU also said that the social workers must visit the school and take an active part in school-based support teams to diminish the problem. The parents have been sincerely asked to watch out for the sign in their loved ones to refute the same tragedy.
