Since the history of the existence of human beings, climate change has been the most defining challenges that the world faces. And this is the reason why the country wants to enhance education along with the awareness. Moreover, Canada also said that it would take the help of independent third parties who are willing to support the country’s efforts to protect the environment and help the country to go through a transitional phase towards a cleaner economy.
On the 31st of May, Guelph, Ontario’s Member of Parliament, Lloyd Longfield has announced funding all through the Climate Action Fund of the government. Longfield came up with the announcement on behalf of Catherine McKenna, the Minister of Climate and Environment Change. The fund will explore the Seat of Your Pants.
Longfield said that the project is going to connect the explorers, students as well as the scientists together. In addition to the collaboration, people from three spheres will share their stories, successes, failures, research as well as solutions for fighting with the consistent climate change. According to the announcement, Seat of Your Pants is going to host virtual classes based on climate change along with field trips all around Canada. The funding is for the classes that range from Kindergarten to 12th grade.
By the looks of it, the Fund for Climate Action will provide around $3 million for supporting the projects which are delivered by youth, students, organizations, Indigenous people. The funding also supports medium and small enterprises, educational institutions, as well as research.
Funded projects are going to raise awareness regarding the climatic change along with clean growth. On the other hand, it also encourages others to take action for supporting the climatic goals of the country.
Ontario is going to receive more than $50,000 in terms of funding all through the Action Fund of the Climate goals.
