Andre Mendonca, the Attorney General of Brazil, has reportedly requested that the Supreme Court of Brazil has reported made authorization to make the police entrance in Brazilian Universities legal. The new move is going to stop the series of illegal electoral propaganda which prevails in the country.

On the other hand, the Constitution of the country has promised complete autonomy and freedom of expression on university campuses.

By the looks of it, this is the recent request by President of Brazil Jair Bolsonaro to respond to the controversy which came into being the previous year at the time of election campaign. At the time of election campaign, the students had hung up the banners stating “against Fascism” which is directed to the right-wing army Captain Presidential candidate.

Jair Bolsonaro has also made a controversial remark on the students who have been protesting against the 30 percent cut at the Federal Universities. Bolsonaro referred the students as “useful innocents.” Initially, Bolsonaro called the students as useful idiots who made the President receive severe backlash from everyone in the country.

In December 2018, at Iguazu Falls, near Southern Brazil, the future education minister of Bolsonaro’s government Abraham Weintraub made a call towards the haunting of the communists. Weintraub said that this paves a way to end the cultural Marxism taking place in the Brazilian Universities.

Before Bolsonaro became the President of Brazil in the year 2018, the police of numerous Brazilian states had entered Brazil’s national universities. The officers of the law halted political rallies and torn down the banners.

At a Brazilian law school, Fluminense Federal University, the armed forces of the military police had accompanied the election inspectors that tore down the flags saying “Against Fascism.” Later the students of the college were seen to restoring the flags to its glory.
